“The Story of This Bunny and This Bunny’s Friends: a Collection of Embarrassing Tales”
This Bunny is a funny bunny. His mother named him This and his brother That. When he was young, This Bunny told his mother, “I’m a gonna be a private detective,” to which she would reply, “that’s nice.” This Bunny could not understand why his mother was always saying such great things about That—That’s smart, That’s funny, That’s stupendous. He was ok, but stupendous seemed a bit much.
This Bunny decided that he should not have to wait until he was fully grown before using his deductive reasoning skills. He decided to apply all his energy to figuring out why his mother liked That more than him. He peered and peeked and probed into every possibility until he finally posed the question to his mother herself. She explained that That Bunny was not the subject of her sentences---she was talking about the general that. This Bunny smiled and went outside to play, relieved that his mother did not love his brother more than she loved him. He spent the afternoon pretending to be General That, the smart, funny, and stupendous military leader that all bunnies aspire to be like.
When he grew up, he was very embarrassed and never told anyone this story.
