Longish.
Our new niece was born this morning, at 6:10 am.
Zoe Olivia. Neat, huh? In a family where the men always outnumbered the women, my sister finally has her revenge. We're really excited to meet her.

Big thanks to zeWife's dad, who brought me the Mexican wrestler mask I'd been yearning for. It's a perfect fit. Now...to fight crime...

So I think I'm going to vote this election. I downloaded a copy of the ballot and I'm doing my research. It's been exactly 10 years since the last time I voted; its kind of a 50-50 split between being lazy and being indignant. You read enough and eventually every candidate starts to sound completely unworthy of your vote, and I hate the whole "choosing the lesser of two evils" argument that people try to make. Try choosing between one candidate that's corrupt and another that's incompetent, and see how that works out for you.
But this election, this Texas governer's race, see, there's four candidates.
FOUR. Even I can't Goldilocks my way out of this one. So I'm voting.
And for who? Oh right, that. Well, that one you're voting for, I'm for one of the other three.

MY LAST COMIC EVER.
I gave up comics about four months ago, but left the door slightly ajar for the arrival of SEVEN SOLDIERS #1, which was originally supposed to be published in April but found itself victim to a six month delay. Well, it finally arrived yesterday and with that purchase, my comic collecting has officially come to an end.
What a great comic to end on, too. As I told zeWife this morning, I had to read it four times, check the Barbelith boards for notes, and read it three more times, just to understand what happend on PAGE ONE. Blew my mind.
So yeah, monthly comics, done.
Graphic novels?
Eh...we'll see.

Longish post, I know, but even after shutting down
one blog, it doesn't seem likely that I'll be keeping up with this one much either once my new job begins. Also, I want to get one post-Kinko's writeup done before I leave, which will probably happen tomorrow.
Probably.
