Patience.

.
So I'm back in a classroom after a two year hiatus. It's moving really really slow, challenging my reputation for being a generally patient guy. I mean, even today my Intro to Communications prof was surprised that he hadn't covered Guttenberg yet. THIS IS DAY FOUR, man, we should have talked about the printing press on DAY ONE. At this rate we'll be covering smoke signals and cave paintings by the midterm.
My other class is a writing class and, no surprise, we haven't been asked to write anything yet. zeWife says I need to slow down but I think after the online HCC experience, I'm really just anxious to turn stuff in at my own pace. Waiting to be assigned something is the pits.
In other news, I like samurai. Specifically,
Seven Samurai, which I at one time owned two copies of. There's an all new digitally restored edition out from
Criterion and I'll probably own it soon, and I'll want to talk about it. A lot. You've all been warned.
Also:
-
Idiocracy, by Mike Judge, is very funny. The Onion AV Club
agrees.
-
District B13, the French action flick I really wanted to see this summer, is now out on DVD. I'll probably want to talk alot about this too after I've seen it.
