MS Paint Friday, Part IV
Electric Banana.In other news, I got a monster bonus at work this week. Bonus checks were the norm at my old store but in the two years I've worked at this store I haven't gotten one extra cent, which has sucked. But anyway, we've done okay the last three months so here we are, surprised with some amazing bonus $$$.
So, I called zeWife to tell her about it and her first words were, "hey, you should buy yourself an iPod!"
Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you...the wife of the year.
Seriously, she totally made my day. She was even willing to go shopping for it last night. Unfortunately, nobody (Best Buy, Fry's, Sharper Image, Circuit City, Radio Shack...) had the 80GB black video iPod I wanted, very frustrating. I figured I would have to make a trip to the Apple store, which you'd think would be an exciting venture for me but it really sounded like more of a chore than something to look forward to. Luckily, I stopped off at Target this morning on my way in and they had just one left.
I'm really, really happy about it.
I've put off buying an iPod for a few reasons, not just money. All Apple products have a kind of "there's a better one just around the corner!" feel to them that make me reluctant to settle on one. I haven't upgraded to their latest operating system for that reason (because, sure enough, the new one will be here next spring). But this new iPod is exactly the kind of toy that I can get a lot of use out of, which makes it a good purchase, I think.
I CAN NOW WATCH BATTLESTAR GALACTICA AND DOCTOR WHO ON THE TV INSTEAD OF THE COMPUTER SCREEN! How awesome is that?
